*Genesis 15:1 - After these things the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision, saying, "Do not be afraid, Abram, I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward." NKJV
He is my protector and my strong tower. I take refuge in Him, because He knows me more than I know myself. Yet, I continue to get tormented because I strive to live a life pleasing in His sight. So, the enemy tries to take that from me. That comfort that I have in Him. He starts to poke at me with my weaknesses. One of them being my security in either someTHING or someONE. But you know what the beautiful thing is? I have the ability, and the power given to me through Jesus to cast the enemy out of my life and out of my mind.
*Luke 9:1 - Then He called His twelve disciples together and gave them power and authority over all demons, and to cure diseases. NKJV
Remember, in that verse it says ALL demons. Demons are Satan's army of supernatural entities. Demons and angels are both ANGELS, however, there are good and bad angels. That's to put it in a way to understand easier. It's even easier for ME to think of it that way.
*2 Corinthians 5:17 - Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
He has called us out of the darkness of this world to live as a light through Him, so that others may see His beauty and His love.
*1 Peter 2:9-10 - But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; (10)who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.
So, today... how about giving that torment (and those spirits that cause it) a nice little boot.
Pray with me: Dear Jesus, I just lift up my life to you right now and others that are currently wrapped up and bonded by constant torment. I pray now, in Jesus' name, casting out all spirits from in me, around me, and in my home. In that void I pray that You dwell in those places, Jesus, and encourage me daily in everything I do. I thank you for being my ultimate Protector and friend. I pray this in Jesus' name. Amen.
